Your Role as an SEN TA
Key responsibilities include:
Providing 1:1 or small group support for pupils with SEN

Encouraging positive behaviour and helping pupils self-regulate
Supporting pupils’ social, emotional, and communication development
Observing, recording, and reporting progress to teachers and SENCOs
Assisting pupils with transitions between activities or classrooms
Supporting therapy or intervention sessions
Helping pupils with personal care when needed
You will be a consistent, calm, and encouraging presence, helping pupils navigate both academic and social challenges while fostering independence and confidence.
