The purpose of this Behaviour Mentor role is to support students who are at risk of exclusion or disengagement by offering tailored behavioural and emotional interventions. The school is committed to reducing exclusions and improving long-term outcomes through relationship-based and trauma-informed approaches.
Behaviour Mentors play a vital role in supporting students within the inclusion base, as well as facilitating reintegration into mainstream lessons where appropriate. This role requires patience, flexibility, and a strong belief in the potential of every student.

Supporting students during moments of emotional distress or dysregulation
Contributing to the development and implementation of individual behaviour plans
Working closely with inclusion staff, teachers, SENCOs and senior leaders
Monitoring progress and maintaining detailed behaviour records
Supporting restorative conversations and reflection following incidents
Upholding safeguarding procedures and maintaining professional boundaries
