A well-established primary school in Haringey is seeking a dedicated Intervention Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately. The role focuses on providing targeted support to pupils with SEN, helping them close learning gaps, gain confidence, and reach their academic potential.
You will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to deliver 1:1 and small group interventions, including literacy, numeracy, and emotional support programs. This role is perfect for someone who is patient, adaptable, and passionate about inclusive education.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions in literacy, numeracy, and social skills
Support pupils in achieving targets set in ILPs and EHCPs
Monitor progress, record outcomes, and communicate with teachers and SENCO
Promote positive behavior, emotional regulation, and independence
Assist class teachers in differentiated classroom activities
Collaborate with external specialists, therapists, and parents as needed
Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development sessions
Person Specification
Previous experience in SEN support or intervention delivery
Strong literacy and numeracy skills
Ability to work 1:1 or in small groups effectively
Empathy, patience, and excellent interpersonal skills
Proactive, organized, and flexible
Relevant qualifications such as Level 3 TA, ELSA, or SEN training
Desirable: Experience with Little Wandle, 1st Class@Number, or Lexia programs.
