Site Manager – Secondary School – Westminster, Central London
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced and professional Site Manager to join a high-performing secondary school in the City of Westminster from January 2026 on a full-time, permanent basis.
This role would suit a confident Site Manager who is comfortable managing a busy, centrally located school site and maintaining high standards in a fast-paced environment.
School Information
The school is a well-established secondary school with approximately 1,000 pupils, known for its strong behaviour culture, organisation, and academic focus. Facilities are modern and well resourced, and the school operates clear systems to ensure safety, compliance, and efficiency across the site.
The Role
You will take overall responsibility for the operational management of the school premises, working closely with senior leaders to ensure the site supports teaching, learning, and wider school activities.
Key Responsibilities
Managing daily site operations, security, and access control
Opening and closing the site and overseeing alarm and CCTV systems
Ensuring compliance with all health & safety legislation and statutory requirements
Coordinating planned and reactive maintenance works
Liaising with contractors, service providers, and external agencies
Keeping accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and compliance documentation
Supporting lettings, events, and occasional out-of-hours use of the site
The Ideal Candidate
Strong background in site or facilities management
Excellent understanding of compliance and health & safety procedures
Calm, reliable, and solutions-focused
Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with school staff
