Due to increased demand for additional support within Early Years, the school is now seeking a dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their growing team.
Role Purpose
The EYFS Teaching Assistant will support Nursery and Reception pupils, helping them develop communication, confidence, and early academic skills. You will work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging activities and provide targeted support to children who require additional help.
You will work with pupils with SEN, speech and language delay, EAL, and social or emotional needs, ensuring that every child feels supported and included.
Key Responsibilities
Support daily EYFS activities aligned with the EYFS framework
Provide one-to-one and small group learning support
Support pupils with SEN and additional needs
Assist with phonics, early reading, writing, and maths activities
Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation
Support transitions and daily classroom routines
Assist with indoor and outdoor learning activities
Observe and record children’s progress
Work closely with teachers, SENCO, and parents
Support personal care needs where required
Uphold safeguarding and health and safety policies

You should have:
Experience in EYFS or early years settings
Understanding of child development and play-based learning
Experience or interest in SEN support
