As a Year 5 teacher, you will play a key role in preparing pupils for the challenges of upper Key Stage 2 and their transition to Year 6. You will plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that inspire curiosity, build confidence, and support all learners to reach their potential.

You will work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a consistent and supportive approach to teaching and learning, and you will foster positive relationships with pupils, parents, and the wider school community. Differentiation and inclusion will be key, and you will provide targeted support to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND and EAL.

You will:

• Deliver creative, engaging lessons across the Year 5 curriculum

• Create a nurturing, safe, and inclusive learning environment

• Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development

• Monitor pupil progress and use assessment to inform planning

• Build strong relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues
