As a Year 2 teacher, you will play a key role in helping pupils consolidate their learning from Year 1 and develop the confidence, independence, and skills needed to succeed in the next stage of their education.

You will plan and deliver high-quality lessons across all subjects, using engaging and creative approaches to support learning. You will ensure that each pupil receives the guidance and encouragement they need to thrive, and you will work closely with colleagues, parents, and the wider community to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment.

You will:

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the National Curriculum

• Provide a safe, supportive, and stimulating learning environment

• Support pupils’ personal, social, and academic development

• Build strong relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues

• Use assessment effectively to monitor progress and inform teaching
