Geography Teacher (ECT) – Daventry, Northamptonshire – January 2026

A growing and ambitious secondary school in Northamptonshire is seeking a passionate Geography ECT to join its supportive Humanities faculty from January 2026.

Geography is popular at KS3 and KS4, and the department is experienced in mentoring ECTs, offering a clear curriculum and strong subject support.

The Role

You will teach Geography across KS3 and KS4, with opportunities to observe KS5 teaching and develop towards post-16 delivery in the future. The curriculum focuses on building strong geographical knowledge, skills and curiosity about the world.

You will:

  • Teach well-planned lessons supported by shared resources

  • Develop confidence in classroom management and assessment

  • Receive regular feedback and coaching

  • Contribute to enrichment such as fieldwork and geography clubs
