SEN Teaching Assistant – Stockport

An inclusive school in Stockport is looking to appoint an SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional learning needs. This role focuses on providing consistent and tailored support to help pupils access the curriculum and build confidence.

You will work closely with teachers and SEN professionals to deliver structured and supportive interventions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting pupils with a range of additional needs

  • Assisting with personalised learning strategies

  • Supporting EHCP-related targets

  • Encouraging independence and engagement

  • Monitoring and recording pupil progress

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience supporting SEN pupils

  • A calm and nurturing approach

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

  • An understanding of inclusive practice

  • Commitment to pupil wellbeing
