SEN Teaching Assistant – Manchester

An inclusive school in Manchester is seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional learning needs. This role focuses on providing tailored support to help pupils access the curriculum and achieve their potential.

You will work alongside teachers and SEN staff to create a supportive and structured learning environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting pupils with SEN in and out of class

  • Implementing individual support strategies

  • Assisting with EHCP-related targets

  • Encouraging independence and confidence

  • Monitoring and reporting pupil progress

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience supporting SEN pupils

  • A calm and patient approach

  • Strong teamwork skills

  • Understanding of inclusive practice

  • Commitment to pupil wellbeing
