History Teacher – Nottinghamshire (Independent Senior School) – January 2026
A well-established independent senior school in Nottinghamshire is seeking a dedicated and scholarly Teacher of History to join its Humanities department from January 2026.
History is a flagship subject, taught through a rigorous and thoughtfully sequenced curriculum. Pupils are encouraged to debate, analyse primary sources and develop sophisticated written arguments.
The department enjoys excellent examination outcomes and strong uptake at A-Level, with students frequently progressing to top universities.
The role will include:
Teaching History across KS3–KS5
Delivering engaging, discussion-led lessons
Supporting essay writing and independent research
Contributing to trips, lectures and enrichment activities
