Geography Teacher – Birmingham (Independent Day School) – January 2026
A highly regarded independent day school in Birmingham is seeking an accomplished and enthusiastic Teacher of Geography to join its Humanities faculty from January 2026.
Geography is a popular and well-established subject within the school, with strong uptake at GCSE and A-Level. Pupils are academically curious, articulate and highly motivated, allowing lessons to move at pace and explore topics in real depth.
The department values enquiry-based learning, discussion and the use of contemporary global case studies. Lessons regularly link physical and human geography to current affairs, sustainability and global citizenship.
The role will involve:
Teaching Geography across KS3–KS5
Delivering high-level GCSE and A-Level preparation
Supporting enrichment such as lectures, trips and societies
Contributing to curriculum development and departmental planning
