English Teacher – Hinckley, Leicestershire – January 2026

An ambitious and inclusive secondary school in Hinckley is looking to appoint a dedicated Teacher of English to join its successful English department from January 2026.

English plays a central role in the school’s curriculum, with a strong emphasis on literacy, communication and confidence. The department has invested heavily in curriculum development, ensuring clear progression from KS3 through to GCSE, with strong outcomes and improving post-16 uptake.

You will be responsible for:

  • Teaching English Language and Literature across KS3–KS4

  • Delivering lessons that balance structure, creativity and challenge

  • Using assessment and feedback to support progress and intervention

  • Contributing to reading initiatives and enrichment opportunities
