The school benefits from a strong leadership team, excellent support services, and a collaborative staff culture. Staff are encouraged to work closely across departments to deliver high-quality teaching and tailored support for students with additional needs.

Role Information

The school is seeking to appoint an experienced and committed SENCO to lead and further develop the school’s SEND provision. You will be responsible for overseeing the identification, assessment, and support of students with SEND across the school.

The role involves working closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams, parents, and external agencies to ensure appropriate interventions and support plans are in place. You will manage and develop the SEND team, monitor student progress, and ensure compliance with statutory requirements and best practice.

You will also contribute to staff training, advise on inclusive classroom strategies, and support the school’s wider commitment to inclusion and equality.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• National Award for SEN Coordination (or willingness to complete)
• Experience supporting students with SEND at secondary level
• Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and best practice
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
