Year 1 Teacher - Tower Hamlets

A friendly and community-focused primary school in Tower Hamlets is seeking a dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join their Key Stage 1 team. This role offers the opportunity to support children through a key stage in their early education.

The school values creativity, consistency, and strong relationships with families.

Key duties include:

  • Teaching the Year 1 curriculum effectively

  • Supporting pupils transitioning from EYFS

  • Delivering phonics and early literacy sessions

  • Using assessment to support progress

  • Creating a nurturing classroom environment

Person specification:

  • Qualified Teacher Status

  • KS1 teaching experience

  • Strong understanding of phonics

  • Calm and patient approach

  • Commitment to safeguarding
