Design Technology Teacher – Fantastic School - Southend-on-Sea

We are seeking a creative, motivated and confident Design Technology Teacher to join an Outstanding secondary school in Southend-on-Sea from January. This is an excellent opportunity for a committed DT practitioner to deliver engaging, practical and design-focused lessons across KS3–KS4, with potential KS5 teaching opportunities.

The successful teacher will join a supportive DT faculty with excellent facilities, including industry-standard workshops, CAD/CAM technology, 3D printers and strong technician support.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Degree in Design Technology, Product Design, Engineering or similar

  • PGCE / QTS

  • Experience teaching DT at KS3–KS4

  • Strong understanding of workshop practice and safe use of machinery

  • Commitment to fostering creativity, innovation and practical problem-solving

Salary

Paid in line with MPS/UPS.
