The Opportunity

A vibrant Haringey school is seeking an enthusiastic Music Teacher to join its creative faculty. The department is a central pillar of the school's identity, featuring excellent rehearsal suites and a busy calendar of performances. This role is perfect for an ECT who wants to balance high-quality classroom teaching with a rich extra-curricular life.

Core Responsibilities

  • Teach Music across KS3 and KS4, covering theory, composition, and performance using both traditional and modern software tools.

  • Coordinate ensemble groups and support students in preparing for practical assessments.

  • Promote artistic communication through the school’s various concert and performance series.

ECT Induction & Support

  • Professional development sessions tailored to managing performance-based classrooms.

  • Access to regional music networking groups and artistic communication workshops.

  • Full technician support for equipment maintenance and recording sessions.

Requirements & Compensation

  • Essential: Must hold QTS and a relevant Music degree.

  • Salary: Inner London Teachers' Pay Scale.
