The Opportunity

We are recruiting a Sociology Teacher for a traditional academic environment in Harrow. Core Responsibilities

  • Instruct Sociology at GCSE and A-Level, facilitating debates on crime, deviance, family, and global social movements.

  • Cultivate students’ ability to construct sophisticated, evidence-based written arguments.

  • Contribute to the school's intercultural communication initiative, promoting social awareness and debate.

ECT Induction & Support

  • Assigned a formal induction lead to oversee your ECF progress and evidence gathering.

  • Subject-specific coaching focused on mastering high-stakes A-Level assessment and moderation.

  • 1:1 "buddy" system with a recently qualified teacher for peer-to-peer support.

Requirements & Compensation

  • Essential: Must hold QTS and a relevant degree in Sociology or Social Sciences.

  • Salary: National Teachers' Pay Scale (M/UPS).
