The Opportunity

An Outstanding school in Islington is seeking a creative and energetic Drama Teacher. This school is a hub for the performing arts, boasting professional-grade facilities and a community that values creative expression. As an ECT, you will be supported in developing your artistic voice while managing a busy studio schedule.

Core Responsibilities

  • Deliver practical and theoretical Drama lessons to students in KS3 and KS4, following a curriculum that includes script analysis and devising.

  • Direct and support school productions, encouraging inclusive participation across all year groups.

  • Manage a professional-grade black box studio, ensuring a safe and inspiring environment for student performance.

ECT Induction & Support

  • Mentorship from an established Head of Faculty with a focus on performance-based communication.

  • Technical support provided by a dedicated Arts technician for all practical and production elements.

  • Collaborative planning sessions with other creative arts staff (Music/Art).

Requirements & Compensation

  • Essential: Must hold QTS and a relevant degree in Drama or Performing Arts.

  • Salary: Inner London Teachers' Pay Scale.
