English Teacher (ECT) – Ofsted Good School

Are you an enthusiastic Early Career Teacher of English looking to begin your teaching career in a supportive environment? A well-regarded secondary school in Essex is seeking an English ECT to join their department immediately.

About the Role:
This is a full-time, permanent role teaching English across KS3–KS4. You will deliver engaging lessons, develop effective assessment strategies, and grow your classroom practice with structured ECT support.

The school is Ofsted Good and known for its calm learning environment, strong pastoral systems, and commitment to staff development. The English department is collaborative and highly supportive of ECTs.

We are looking for someone who:
• Holds an English-related degree
• Holds or is completing QTS/PGCE
• Can teach English at KS3–KS4
• Is reflective, enthusiastic, and eager to learn
• Engages positively with mentoring and feedback
