SEN Teaching Assistant - Lambeth
A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Lambeth is seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional learning and behavioural needs. The school has a strong inclusion ethos and works closely with families and external professionals to ensure pupils receive consistent and effective support.
• SEN Teaching Assistant position within a supportive Lambeth primary school
• Full-time role supporting pupils with additional needs
• Long-term opportunity with potential for permanency
You will work alongside class teachers and the SENCO to deliver tailored interventions and provide individualised support, helping pupils access learning and build confidence.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis
Assisting with EHCP targets and learning plans
Promoting positive behaviour and engagement
Supporting emotional and social development
Maintaining accurate records of progress
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
Experience supporting pupils with SEN
Calm, patient, and adaptable approach
Strong communication skills
Commitment to safeguarding
Willingness to learn and develop
