The Opportunity

An Ofsted Outstanding secondary school in south Manchester is looking to appoint a Science Teacher (ECT) to join a high-performing and well-resourced department.

This role offers an excellent foundation for an ECT, with strong departmental leadership and a clear focus on professional growth.

You will teach Science across KS3 and KS4, supported by experienced colleagues and modern laboratory facilities.

Science Teacher (ECT) – Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Science across KS3 and KS4

  • Deliver practical and theory-based lessons

  • Monitor student progress with support

  • Work closely with your ECT mentor

  • Contribute to STEM enrichment activities

The Ideal Science ECT

  • Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Science

  • QTS (or pending)

  • Confident communicator

  • Enthusiastic and organised

  • Willing to learn and develop
