Role: Design and Technology Teacher
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Location: Hillingdon, West London (Excellent transport links and free on-site parking)
Curriculum: DT across KS3, KS4 (GCSE), and KS5 (A-Level). Specialists in Product Design, Resistant Materials, or Engineering are highly encouraged to apply.
Salary: Outer London Main/Upper Pay Scale (MPS/UPS).
The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a department that values innovation and creative problem-solving. You will have access to modern workshops equipped with traditional tools alongside advanced CAD/CAM technology, including 3D printers and laser cutters.
Your role will involve guiding students through the full design process—from initial sketching and prototyping to high-quality manufacture. You will play a key role in delivering a curriculum that prepares students for the modern industrial world, focusing on sustainability, material properties, and technical drawing.

We Are Looking For:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential.
A degree in Design and Technology, Product Design, Engineering, or a related field.
Proficiency in using a range of workshop machinery and a strong commitment to Health and Safety standards (DATA certification is a plus).
Experience teaching GCSE and A-Level (or a desire to develop your KS5 teaching).
The ability to inspire students of all abilities through engaging, project-based learning.
Skill in using design software such as 2D Design, SolidWorks, or Fusion 360.
