The Opportunity & Role Profile

This high-achieving Manchester school is recruiting a Science Technician to support their Outstanding Science faculty. We are looking for candidates with a strong technical background in Physics or Chemistry to support practical learning at GCSE and A-Level for highly motivated students.

Core Responsibilities & Duties Scope

  • Technical Preparation: Setting up complex apparatus for Physics or Chemistry practicals in accordance with CLEAPSS guidelines.

  • Safety & Compliance: Maintaining chemical/equipment inventories and managing the safe disposal of hazardous waste.

  • Lab Management: Performing regular safety checks and providing technical assistance during live demonstrations.
