Science Teacher (ECT) – Grammar School – York

A high-achieving Grammar School in York is seeking a driven ECT Science Teacher to join its Science department from January 2026.

About the Role:
This full-time position includes teaching Science across KS3–KS4, with opportunities to develop a subject specialism while working alongside experienced practitioners.

About the School:
The school serves around 1,000 students, including a strong Sixth Form, and is Ofsted rated Outstanding. It offers a calm, structured environment ideal for ECT development, supported by excellent laboratory facilities.

We are looking for someone who:
• Holds a Science-related degree
• Has QTS (or pending award)
• Is confident delivering practical lessons
• Is organised and eager to develop
• Thrives in a high-expectations environment
