Humanities Teacher – Independent School – York

A prestigious Independent School in the York area is seeking an engaging History or Geography Teacher to join its Humanities department from January 2026.

About the Role:
This is a full-time position teaching History or Geography across KS3–KS5, supporting academic excellence and contributing to enrichment activities such as trips, lectures, and societies.

About the School:
The school educates approximately 750 pupils and is known for its strong pastoral care, small class sizes, and high academic standards. Humanities is a popular subject area, supported by experienced staff and excellent resources.

We are looking for someone who:
• Holds a relevant Humanities degree
• Holds QTS/PGCE
• Can teach confidently up to KS5
• Is passionate and knowledgeable about their subject
• Enjoys working in a close-knit academic community
