History or Geography Teacher – Grammar School – York

A highly regarded Grammar School in York is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable History or Geography Teacher to join their Humanities department from January 2026.

About the Role:
This is a full-time position teaching History or Geography across KS3–KS5, with responsibility for delivering engaging, academically rigorous lessons and contributing to curriculum planning and enrichment activities.

About the School:
The school serves approximately 1,100 students, including a strong Sixth Form, and is Ofsted rated Outstanding. It is known for exceptional academic outcomes, exemplary student behaviour, and a calm, focused learning environment. Humanities is a high-performing faculty with strong subject leadership and shared resources.

We are looking for someone who:
• Holds a relevant History or Geography degree
• Holds QTS/PGCE
• Can teach confidently across KS3–KS5
• Has strong subject knowledge and classroom presence
• Enjoys working within a high-achieving academic culture
