EYFS Teaching Assistant – Primary School (North London)

A friendly and well-resourced primary school in North London is seeking an enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to support children in Nursery and Reception. The school has a strong focus on early development, inclusion, and child wellbeing.

You will support the class teacher in delivering engaging, play-based learning activities aligned with the EYFS framework. You will also provide one-to-one support to pupils who require additional help with communication, behaviour, or early learning skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support learning through play and structured activities

  • Assist with phonics, early reading, and number work

  • Support personal care, routines, and wellbeing

  • Observe and record pupil progress

  • Create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment

Requirements:

  • EYFS experience essential

  • Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualification desirable

  • Knowledge of the EYFS framework

  • Warm, patient, and nurturing approach

This role offers long-term stability, supportive leadership, and opportunities for further training.
