The Opportunity & Role Profile

This Southwark-based school is recruiting a professional Science Technician to join their technical team. You will be responsible for the "behind-the-scenes" excellence that allows the Science department to thrive, with a specific focus on supporting Physics or Chemistry practicals.

Core Responsibilities & Duties Scope

  • Hazardous Materials: Ensuring the safe handling and disposal of chemicals and the secure storage of radioactive sources (for Physics specialists).

  • Apparatus Setup: Designing and testing new practical setups to enhance the GCSE and A-Level curriculum.

  • Team Collaboration: Working closely with the Senior Technician to ensure the smooth daily operation of all laboratories.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Essential Requirements: Strong scientific education and experience within a Physics or Chemistry classroom setting.

  • Salary: £25,000–£30,000 per annum, depending on experience.

  • Support: Competitive Inner London salary and generous holiday entitlement.
