The Opportunity & Role Profile

A fantastic opportunity for a dedicated Science Technician in Merton. We are seeking a specialist who can handle the technical demands of a busy Science department. Specialist experience in Physics or Chemistry prep is a mandatory requirement for this role.

Core Responsibilities & Duties Scope

  • Practical Preparation: Preparing chemical solutions and setting up physics circuits or optics benches for Key Stage 3 and 4 students.

  • H&S Audit: Carrying out daily safety checks in the laboratories and preparation rooms to ensure a secure environment for pupils.

  • Resource Management: Organizing the storage of apparatus and chemicals to maximize efficiency and safety.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Essential Requirements: Proven track record in a school Science lab with a focus on Physics or Chemistry.

  • Salary: £25,000–£30,000 per annum, depending on experience.

  • Support: Friendly working environment and access to onsite parking.
