The Opportunity & School Profile

This high-achieving Brent school seeks an enthusiastic PE ECT. Our comprehensive ECT support includes specific modules on leadership communication, preparing you to manage sports teams and interact professionally with external scouts and parents.

Core Responsibilities & Teaching Scope

  • Active Learning: Instructing Physical Education across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE) only.

  • Theory & Practice: Delivering both practical sports sessions and the theoretical GCSE syllabus.

  • Mentorship Cycle: Working with the Head of PE to master formative assessment and lesson transitions.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Essential Requirements: Hold or be soon to obtain QTS. Relevant Degree in Sports Science or PE.

  • Salary: Paid on the Teachers' Pay Scale (M/UPS) with Inner London weighting.

  • Support: Reduced teaching load and a dedicated sports-specific mentor.
