A well-established secondary school in Chelmsford is seeking an English ECT to join its supportive and academically focused English department from January 2026.

Role Overview

This role is ideal for an Early Career Teacher looking to develop confident classroom practice within a structured and nurturing environment. The successful English ECT will teach KS3 and KS4, delivering a well-sequenced curriculum focused on literacy, analytical writing and literary appreciation. You will benefit from shared planning, clear assessment frameworks and strong departmental collaboration.

The School

This 11–18 secondary school educates approximately 1,250 pupils and is known for its consistent academic progress, strong pastoral care and calm learning environment.
