The Opportunity
A friendly and inclusive primary school in Brent is looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with a range of additional needs within a mainstream setting. This role is suitable for candidates who enjoy working collaboratively and supporting pupils to overcome barriers to learning.
You will be supporting pupils across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2, working with children who present with Autism, speech and language needs, ADHD, learning difficulties, and SEMH needs. Support may be delivered 1:1 or within small groups, depending on pupil needs.

Key Responsibilities
Support pupils with SEN within the classroom
Assist with differentiated learning activities and curriculum access
Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
Promote communication, confidence, and independence
Implement strategies from EHCPs and support plans
Support pupils during transitions and unstructured times
Monitor and record pupil progress
Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment
Person Specification
Experience supporting children with SEN is highly desirable
Patient, nurturing, and consistent approach
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Understanding of inclusive practice
Willingness to engage in training and professional development
This role is suitable for both experienced SEN Teaching Assistants and candidates looking to build their SEN experience.
