The Opportunity
A welcoming and supportive primary school in Enfield is recruiting a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with a range of additional needs. This role is ideal for candidates who are passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and thrive in a structured, nurturing environment.
You will be supporting pupils across EYFS and Key Stage 1, working with children who have Autism, communication and interaction needs, SEMH challenges, and learning difficulties. The role includes a combination of 1:1 support, small group work, and in-class assistance.

Key Responsibilities
Support pupils with SEN to access learning and classroom activities
Assist with emotional regulation and behaviour support strategies
Promote communication, confidence, and independence
Support differentiated learning activities
Implement strategies from EHCPs and support plans
Support pupils during transitions and unstructured times
Monitor and record pupil progress and engagement
Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment
Person Specification
Experience supporting children with SEN is highly desirable
Patient, empathetic, and emotionally resilient
Confident supporting pupils with additional behavioural needs
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Willingness to learn and adapt to individual pupil needs
This role is suitable for experienced SEN TAs as well as those looking to develop their SEN experience.
