SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary SEN

Location: Wood Green, North London
Start Date: After the holidays

We are currently recruiting a compassionate and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a supportive primary school in Wood Green.

The Role

You will be supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, and learning difficulties, working closely with class teachers to help pupils access the curriculum and feel confident in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group SEN support

  • Assist with classroom routines and learning activities

  • Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour

  • Encourage independence and social development

This primary school has a strong focus on inclusion and pupil wellbeing. The SEN team is experienced and supportive, and staff are well guided in their roles.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with SEN pupils

  • Patient, calm and nurturing approach

  • Enhanced DBS or willingness to apply
