Maths Teacher (ECT) – Chesterfield, Derbyshire – January 2026

A successful and well-organised 11–18 school in Chesterfield is seeking a motivated Maths ECT to join its established Mathematics department from January 2026.

The Role

You’ll teach Maths across KS3 and KS4, supported by a department known for strong results and clear teaching approaches. The Maths team follows a shared, structured curriculum focused on mastery, modelling and deliberate practice, giving ECTs clarity and confidence in lesson delivery.

Support & Training

The department has several experienced mentors and offers:

  • Reduced teaching timetable

  • Weekly mentoring sessions

  • Departmental coaching and collaborative planning

  • Access to high-quality in-house CPD and external Maths networks
