Chemistry Teacher Vacancy in Reading
A well-established secondary school in Reading is seeking a knowledgeable and committed Chemistry Teacher to join their science department on a full-time, permanent basis from January or by agreement. This role would suit both experienced teachers and confident ECTs with a passion for Chemistry.
Job Overview
You will be responsible for:
• Teaching Chemistry across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 opportunities depending on experience
• Planning and delivering engaging, well-sequenced lessons aligned with the curriculum
• Delivering practical experiments safely and effectively in line with health and safety guidance
• Supporting students in developing strong analytical, scientific, and problem-solving skills
• Assessing, tracking, and reporting on student progress to inform future teaching
• Maintaining high standards of behaviour, engagement, and academic expectation
• Contributing to the wider science curriculum and departmental planning
