Science Teacher – Derby – January 2026

Are you an enthusiastic Science ECT looking to begin your teaching career in a supportive and high-achieving school? A successful secondary school in Derby is seeking a Science Teacher (ECT) to join their vibrant Science department from January 2026.

About the Role:
This is a permanent, full-time position delivering Science across KS3–KS4. You will receive tailored mentoring, structured support and high-quality CPD as part of the school’s ECT induction programme.

The school offers excellent behaviour, modern laboratories and strong pastoral systems. Their Science department is collaborative, well-resourced and committed to raising achievement.

We are looking for someone who:
• Holds a degree in a Science-related field
• Holds QTS/PGCE or is completing ECT training
• Can teach Science effectively to KS3–KS4
• Demonstrates enthusiasm, organisation and resilience
• Works well within a supportive team
