A supportive and inclusive primary school in the London Borough of Enfield is seeking a committed EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant to join its Early Years team. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to support children with additional needs during a crucial stage of their development.

Early Years provision is well structured, play-based, and focused on developing communication, independence, and emotional wellbeing. Staff work collaboratively, supported by a proactive SENCo and an approachable leadership team.

The Role

You will work with children in Nursery or Reception who have a range of Special Educational Needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, sensory needs, and developmental delay. Support will be provided on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored SEN support aligned with EHCPs

  • Support access to the EYFS curriculum

  • Promote communication, social interaction, and independence

  • Use visual supports and sensory strategies

  • Assist with personal care where required

  • Observe and record progress

  • Maintain safeguarding standards
