A friendly and inclusive primary school in the London Borough of Hounslow is seeking a dedicated EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant to join its Early Years team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to support young children with additional needs in a nurturing and structured learning environment.

The Role
You will work with children in Nursery or Reception who have a range of Special Educational Needs, including autism spectrum condition, speech and language needs, sensory processing difficulties, and developmental delay. Support will be provided on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
You will help children to:
Access learning through play-based activities
Develop communication and interaction skills
Regulate emotions and behaviour
Build independence and confidence
Key Responsibilities
Deliver personalised SEN support aligned with EHCPs and individual plans
Support access to the EYFS curriculum
Use visual timetables, routines, and sensory strategies
Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation
Support transitions throughout the school day
Assist with personal care and toileting where required
Observe, monitor, and record progress
Maintain safeguarding and health & safety standards
Person Specification
The successful candidate will:
Have experience supporting children with SEN, ideally in EYFS
Be patient, calm, and nurturing
Have strong communication and teamwork skills
Be flexible, proactive, and reliable
Be committed to safeguarding and inclusion
