A vibrant and inclusive primary school in Shepherd’s Bush is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from January. The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide targeted support for pupils with additional needs across the school. Your responsibilities will include 1:1 support, small group interventions, and in-class assistance. You will work closely with class teachers, the SENCO, and other support staff to ensure all pupils can fully access the curriculum and develop their skills.
This role is ideal for someone who is patient, flexible, and committed to inclusive education. You will be part of a supportive team dedicated to helping pupils succeed.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver 1:1 and small group support for SEN pupils
Assist pupils with ASD, ADHD, and other learning needs
Support emotional regulation, social skills, and positive behaviour
Help pupils engage with classroom learning and activities
Implement strategies outlined in EHCPs and support plans
Work closely with teachers, SENCO, and multidisciplinary staff
Support pupils during break, lunch, and transitions
Candidate Profile

Experienced in SEN support within a primary school
Patient, empathetic, and adaptable
Confident in behaviour management and emotional support
Committed to inclusion and safeguarding
Able to build strong relationships with pupils and staff
