SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT – PRIMARY SCHOOL – ACTON – LONG-TERM ROLE

Location: Acton, West London
Start Date: January
Contract Type: Full-time, Long-Term
Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm
Pay Rate: £90–£105 per day

About the School

A friendly and inclusive primary school in Acton is looking to appoint a caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant from January. The school places a strong emphasis on inclusion, wellbeing and positive relationships, ensuring every child receives the support they need to succeed.

The SEN department supports pupils with ASD, ADHD, learning difficulties and SEMH needs, and works closely with families and external professionals to provide holistic support.

The Role

You will work as part of a supportive SEN team, providing both classroom-based and targeted SEN support. The role will involve supporting pupils academically and emotionally, helping them to develop confidence, independence and positive learning behaviours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting SEN pupils in class

  • Delivering small group and 1:1 interventions

  • Assisting pupils with focus and engagement

  • Supporting emotional regulation and behaviour

  • Implementing SEN strategies and support plans

  • Building strong relationships with pupils and staff

Ideal Candidate

  • SEN or primary school experience

  • Patient, proactive and adaptable

  • Strong communication skills

  • Passion for inclusive education
