Pay Rate: £95–£110 per day

About the School

A high-performing and inclusive primary school in Hammersmith is recruiting a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs. The school has a strong reputation for academic excellence alongside a deep commitment to pupil wellbeing and inclusion.

The SEN provision is well established and supports pupils with ASD, SEMH, ADHD and speech and language needs. The leadership team values support staff highly and ensures SEN Teaching Assistants are fully integrated into school life.

The Role

This is a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant role supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. You may be supporting one main pupil with higher needs while also assisting other SEN pupils throughout the day.

You will work closely with teachers to adapt learning materials, support behaviour and ensure pupils feel safe, supported and able to engage fully with learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing consistent 1:1 SEN support

  • Supporting pupils’ academic and emotional development

  • Assisting with classroom routines and learning activities

  • Implementing behaviour support strategies

  • Supporting pupils with social skills and peer interaction

  • Working collaboratively with SEN and pastoral staff

  • Monitoring progress and feeding back to teachers

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience supporting SEN pupils in a primary school

  • Confident behaviour management skills

  • Calm, empathetic and resilient approach

  • Strong understanding of safeguarding practices
