The Opportunity & Role Profile

This major independent school requires an experienced Teacher of English to join its strong Humanities team. The role is purely teaching-focused, requiring a specialist capable of inspiring a profound love for literature and language, and driving high attainment in advanced literary analysis from Key Stage 3 through A-Level/IB.

Core Responsibilities & Teaching Scope

  • Literary Analyst: Delivering instruction in English Language and Literature up to A-Level/IB.

  • Driving Attainment: Cultivating strong critical analysis and sophisticated essay writing skills among high-achieving pupils.

  • Academic Mentor: Offering extra support sessions and contributing to departmental curriculum development as required.
