About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Early Career Teacher (ECT) of Mathematics to join a supportive and forward-thinking secondary school in Bristol from January 2026. This role is ideal for an ECT seeking a strong start to their teaching career, with excellent mentoring, a reduced timetable, and a collaborative Maths department.

You will teach Mathematics across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to develop towards KS5 as your confidence and experience grow. The school places a strong emphasis on professional development and coaching for early-career teachers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and well-structured Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4

  • Develop pupils’ fluency, reasoning, and problem-solving skills

  • Plan and assess learning in line with departmental expectations

  • Track pupil progress and provide clear, constructive feedback

  • Work closely with an experienced mentor as part of the ECT induction programme

  • Maintain high expectations of behaviour and achievement

About You

  • Degree in Mathematics or a related subject

  • QTS (or on track to achieve QTS by January 2026)
