About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Early Career Teacher (ECT) of Mathematics to join a supportive and forward-thinking secondary school in Bristol from January 2026. This role is ideal for an ECT seeking a strong start to their teaching career, with excellent mentoring, a reduced timetable, and a collaborative Maths department.
You will teach Mathematics across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to develop towards KS5 as your confidence and experience grow. The school places a strong emphasis on professional development and coaching for early-career teachers.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and well-structured Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4
Develop pupils’ fluency, reasoning, and problem-solving skills
Plan and assess learning in line with departmental expectations
Track pupil progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
Work closely with an experienced mentor as part of the ECT induction programme
Maintain high expectations of behaviour and achievement

About You
Degree in Mathematics or a related subject
QTS (or on track to achieve QTS by January 2026)
