A well-organised secondary school in Cambridge is seeking a History ECT to start in January 2026. This role is ideal for an ECT looking to build strong foundations in classroom management, planning and assessment.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will teach KS3 and KS4 History, supported by a clearly sequenced curriculum, shared resources and collaborative planning time. The department prioritises historical enquiry, extended writing and analytical thinking.
School Information
This 11–16 school educates approximately 1,200 pupils and is recognised for its calm classrooms, strong behaviour systems and consistent academic progress. Humanities subjects benefit from experienced leadership and a culture of professional collaboration.
ECTs are supported through a structured induction programme, reduced timetable and regular observation with developmental feedback. Leadership is approachable, organised and strongly committed to staff wellbeing.
