The Opportunity & Role Profile

This major independent school requires an experienced Science Teacher specialising in Biology. The role is purely classroom-focused, seeking a specialist to drive intellectual rigour and outstanding attainment in Biology across Key Stage 4 and A-Level, preparing students for highly competitive life sciences courses.

Core Responsibilities & Teaching Scope

  • Life Scientist: Instructing Biology across Key Stage 4 and A-Level (with some KS3 Science).

  • Driving Attainment: Ensuring robust practical laboratory skills, experimental technique, and advanced theoretical understanding of biological processes.

  • Mentoring: Supporting students with highly competitive university applications in STEM fields.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Essential Requirements: Relevant Degree in Biology and QTS/PGCE. Proven ability to teach KS5 Biology is essential.
