Design Technology Teacher – Independent School – Cambridge

We are seeking a creative, forward-thinking and technically confident Design Technology Teacher to join a prestigious Independent School in Cambridge from January. This is an excellent opportunity to teach motivated pupils across KS3–KS5 within a well-established and highly resourced DT department that values innovation, craftsmanship and design thinking.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging, practical and theory-based lessons, contribute to curriculum development and support a strong co-curricular programme that encourages creativity, problem-solving and real-world application of design skills.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Degree in Design Technology, Product Design, Engineering or a related field

  • PGCE / QTS

  • Ability to teach DT across KS3–KS4 (KS5 desirable)

  • Strong workshop practice and health & safety awareness

  • Passion for creative, practical learning and high-quality outcomes
