DT Teacher – Leicester – January 2026

Are you an enthusiastic Design & Technology Teacher beginning your teaching career? A well-established secondary school in Leicester is seeking an ECT to join their forward-thinking DT department from January 2026.

About the Role:
This full-time, permanent position involves teaching DT to KS3–KS4 students. You will deliver hands-on lessons, create engaging schemes of work, support workshop safety and contribute to designing a vibrant and creative DT curriculum.

About the School:
The school is known for excellent behaviour, a strong sense of community and outstanding staff support. Their DT workshops are modern, spacious and equipped with excellent resources. Staff benefit from collaborative planning structures and strong leadership.

We are looking for someone who:
• Holds a DT or Engineering-related degree
• Holds QTS/PGCE or is completing ECT training
• Can teach KS3–KS4 DT confidently
• Brings creativity, innovation and a strong work ethic
• Works well within a collaborative faculty
