Design Technology ECT – Hertfordshire

We are seeking a motivated, creative and enthusiastic Design Technology ECT to join an Outstanding secondary school in Hertfordshire from January. This is an excellent opportunity for a Newly Qualified DT Teacher to begin their career in a highly supportive, well-resourced and forward-thinking department.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging and practical DT lessons across KS3–KS4, with the opportunity to develop towards KS5 teaching as confidence and experience grow. You will receive a structured induction programme, dedicated mentoring, reduced timetable allocation and excellent CPD tailored to Early Career Teachers.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Degree in DT, Product Design, Engineering or related field

  • PGCE with QTS

  • Training to teach KS3–KS4 DT

  • Commitment to developing high-quality teaching practice

Paid to scale at MPS1.
